I began my writing career at a young age when I first entered my Mom in a Mother of the Year contest. Luckily, the small-town judges were able to overlook horrible penmanship and lackluster presentation and I won. Since then, I've set my sights a little higher. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in journalism and the title of the only person in the nation who spoke to all the families of the Texas A&M Bonfire victims.
Before starting my freelance career, I worked as a features writer at a mid-sized daily newspaper, where I covered a variety of topics from movie reviews and celebrities to health and families.
I have finally found my calling as a freelance writer. My list of published articles is constantly growing and I'm always on the lookout for new markets and interesting stories. While it sounds a bit cliché, the world really is my oyster when it comes to writing. I love learning about different things and having the opportunity to tell new stories. And, yes, I still get a kick out of seeing my name in print.
If you're looking for something a bit more personal, here it is: I recently moved from Houston to Arizona and live at the base of a mountain with my family and our ever-growing collection of cacti. I love coffee, cupcakes and browsing the "new arrivals" section of a bookstore. You can contact me via email at rmosteller at gmail dot com.
